Pulse
Pulse is our
younger teens youth club meeting mainly at Oakley Hall, on the second
Saturday of each month from 4.30pm until 7pm. It is for any young person
who is in years 6-9 at school. The program is mixed, allowing a varied
range of activities during a session, such as: craft, cooking, computer
games and games and board games, and a short talk about Christian
issues. Drinks & snacks are provided. On occasions trips may take place
away from the hall such as, swimming or sports on the Rye.
Film Nights
Twice a
term, the young people get together for popcorn, pizza & drinks whilst
we watch a recent release or occasional “classic” film. Thanks to two
generous donors we’re able to watch films on a video projector with
surround sound & to provide free pizza for the young people. Some films
are age restricted (e.g. for those who are 12 and above) but if we’re
watching a PG or a U certificate film, any young person aged 10 & above
can join us
Crew
Crew meets on a Sunday in the youth corner in church at
11.15am after the 9.45 service, finishing at 12.15pm, and is for anyone
in school years 7-13. It provides a time for fellowship and discussion
as well as other activities.
Fusion
Fusion is our
older youth club meeting at Oakley Hall, on the fourth Saturday of each
month from 7pm- 9pm. It is for any young person in years 9-13 at
school. The young people themselves decide on activities each month and
there is a Christian discussion or talk whenever the group meets. Drinks
are provided as is occasional pizza!
Proverbs
In 2006 seven
young people at All Saints joined a group to prepare for confirmation.
They now continue to meet as a group called Proverbs which meets on
Tuesday evenings at someone’s home. We focus on a different book of the
Bible each month.
Omega
Omega is the
occasional youth section of our parish magazine informing all young
people about its activities. It is the opportunity for young people to
tell the rest of the church what they’ve been doing.
Xp
Xp is a chillout worship service specifically for young
people aged 10 and above and uses words, images and symbolic actions as
well as modern music to engage young people with prayer and encourage
them to explore their faith through meditative reflection.
