Baptism and Marriage

Baptism

The birth of a baby is a special event for a family, and Baptism is an important part of its celebration. we believe that each person is unique and is loved by God. At Baptism we are welcomed into the family of God and we set off on our life's journey. As we do so, we are surrounded by other Christians, all of whom are at different stages of their own journeys.

Although the majority baptised at All Saints are babies, there is no upper age limit and it is quite normal for children and adults to be baptised from time to time.

If you live in our parish or worship regularly with us we would be happy to arrange a Baptism. Baptisms take place several times a year at the Sunday 9.45 service. For more details, please contact the church office or call 01494 527526.

Marriage

Coming to church for your wedding and making your vows before God surrounded by your family and friends is another important step in the journey of your life. At All Saints, we are blessed with a beautiful building and we can provide both organist and choir (we're also happy to talk over your own suggestions for music). We believe that marrying in church makes a uniquely moving and joyful start to married life.

To marry in our church, one of the couple must be resident in the parish or be a regular worshipper with us. The Church of England provides some helpful information about the legal aspects of a church wedding here. For more details, please contact the church office or call 01494 527526.
