Lent 2021

Our Lent courses have already started but if if you wish to find out more, please contact the parish office

Come and See

Picture
Gareth says:  Many people are asking deep questions of faith. “Come and See” is an invitation from our Bishops to local communities to take the first steps in exploring faith. So why not walk with us, as we walk with Jesus… and come and see.  To find out more, visit the Oxford diocese website

Follow Me: Explore the fruits of the Spirit

Picture
Gareth says:  This is for anyone who is interested in understanding their deeper self, their identity in Christ. We will work our way through an examination of the fruits of the spirit. To learn more about ourselves.

Live Lent:  Gods's Story Our Story

Picture
Everyone loves a good story and the story of God’s love for everyone is the greatest of all. How can we be part of that story and enable others to share in it too?  We shall use the Archbishop of Canterbury’s Lent Book for this year to help us begin thinking about these questions and many more.

Living His Story by Hannah Steele is published by SPCK and readily available online. This year we are sorry we are unable order books on your behalf.

Revd Terry Hinks (Trinity Church) is running these sessions and you can contact Terry here

You can find further background information here or by watching the video below

For such a time as this:

In a world of climate change, ecological injustice and inequality, what do Christians have to offer?

Picture
David says:  The world is in crisis; Creation is groaning. People and the Earth have been crying out for many years. But for too long, many people - particularly those in the global North - have chosen not to listen, instead remaining complicit in destruction and continuing to increase inequalities. In such a time as this, what have Christians got to offer?

With stories from around the world woven together with biblical passages, this is the chance to travel and learn about the effect our actions are having on the world without the carbon emissions or leaving your lounge.  There will also be a weekly challenge to help make a small difference.
